When Rayford Baker founded Baker Paint in 1971, his vision was simple: To provide high-quality painting services and outstanding customer service. He believed that honesty and integrity are the foundations of good business, and these principles remain the core values upon which Baker Paint & Contracting Co., Inc. operates today.
When Baker retired in 1981, two of his trusted employees, Fred Chapman and Grady Green, acquired the business and continued his legacy. By 1985, Baker Paint’s focus shifted to commercial and industrial clients. Chapman and Green held strongly to the following beliefs:
